I don't know why this keeps switching to Ben's account, and I'm in a hurry and my brain won't give me the info I need to fix it. So! Try to cope...I'll get to that part later.
Gramma Vander Stoep's 85th birthday is March 14, this year. Let me know if there's any interest in having a party. My house would be fine. We can find room for anyone who might want to come from a distance.
Randy & I are doing fine. We've been busy trying to get the house next door ready to rent out. For those of you who don't already know this, Jim McClain, our neighbor for the last 28 years, died last fall. We were able to buy his house...more or less of a self protection kind of thing...we want some input as to who will be our new neighbors. Anyway: this has turned into a real project. We've been enjoying it (mostly) but feel the need to start MAKING some money from it, instead of just investing more.

I'd be happy to head down for a birthday party for Grandma, but we're going to AZ the week of 3/16/08 to visit with the parental units and see Auntie Feefa. In general March is crazy for us, but if something gets put together please let me know.
Hey EVERYBODY....We've got a reason to celebrate. I rented Jim's house out today. The people who are going to be living in it have connection to James. (that's the name of this community.) Anna used to live down the street from us and went to the same school, at the same time, as Ben and Dan. She's married now and has a family. They're moving in on the 16th of Feb. yeah!!!! Rachel
Are you thinking you would have something on March 14th, or is that just the date of her birthday? If it was a weekend, that would improve my chances of coming instead of having to race to sioux city on friday after work.
March 14th is a Friday. I'm thinking of having something that will work. It could be Saturday or Sunday...I haven't mentioned this to her yet.
Hi Rach, I already talked to you about this but now I'll give it to you in writing too. I'll be going to see Aleisa Mar 10 and won't be back until Mar 16. So, even though I think it's a really good idea to celebrate Mom's birthday this way, I won't be able to come on that date. And, since I'll have the car in Omaha, at the airport, Bob will be stuck at home without transportation. Have fun though.:) Laura
